전체 강좌 구성 안내

The 25 courses scheduled for development over five years encompass the core areas of traditional arts. These areas include dance, visual arts (painting), performing arts (drama, theater, and entertainment), and music, constituting 20 courses. In interdisciplinary convergence, five courses are designed to cover popular culture and Hallyu contents, including mass culture.

The courses are designed to cater to diverse demands, with a total of five Introductory Courses targeting the public, eight Foundation Courses tailored for non-major students with basic knowledge of Korean studies, eight Advanced Courses intended for undergraduate majors in Korean studies, and four Applied Courses designed for professionals at the graduate level or higher. This structure aims to accommodate a wide range of interests and proficiency levels.

Each course is structured by appropriately balancing the requested 'theory' and 'practice' by analyzing each field's educational demands. While each course is initially designed with a baseline of eight sessions, adjustments and enhancements, ranging from a minimum of eight to a maximum of twelve sessions, will be made in the production phase based on the specific characteristics and content of the courses.

All courses are planned to comprehensively encompass representative fields of traditional arts, ensuring a unique balance and distinctiveness. This planning considers the perspectives of experts in each field during the course development and design, reflecting a thoughtful consideration of the feasibility of actual teaching.

This research institution has selected the United Kingdom and India as target countries for region-specific initiatives. Accordingly, three Korean studies scholars from each country have been included in the research team, taking on roles as collaborative researchers and experts in their respective fields (such as content review and translation). With them at the core, the team plans to develop six region-specific courses tailored to the needs of these countries.
